FIELD: device for checking authenticity of bank notes and securities by quality of paper and presence or absence of phosphor labels on it. SUBSTANCE: ultraviolet radiation source has two parallel glass tubes phosphor covered on side surface, filled with mixture of metal vapors and inert gas and communicating through intermediate channel. Light filter which is, essentially, cylinder made of material transparent in ultraviolet region and nontransparent in visible region of spectrum is fitted on adjacent ends of tubes. Reflector is placed between part of internal surface of cylinder and part of external surface of glass tubes. EFFECT: reduced size of source. 2 dwg
