FEEDER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: animal farming, in particular, stalked plant feeders. SUBSTANCE: feeder has telescopic tube with pivotal gate on discharge end, base connected to inlet end of telescopic tube through transmission tip, auger mounted within base and hopper mounted on base. Feeder has adjusting sleeve mounted on base for longitudinal movement on tip and hydraulic cylinder for moving sleeve onto tip and removing from it. Tip has equally spaced through longitudinal slots disposed adjacent to perimeter of inlet part. Tip is provided with spring-loaded trapezium-shaped adjusting plates and spring. Adjusting plates are attached with their large base to inner surface of tip in the proximity of tip perimeter by means of pivot joints. Brackets rigidly fixed at outer side of adjusting plates are inserted through tip slots for engagement with sleeve, which has front part with inner diameter exceeding that of rear part. Tip has restricting ring. When sleeve is in its extreme front position, it cooperates with sleeve. EFFECT: increased efficiency by mechanized labor consuming processes, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 4 dwg
