FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises preliminary machining of a site to be repaired, the working plane being machined by the depth equal to the width of an extension to define steps for locking the extension in two mutually perpendicular directions. On both sides of the working surface in the side walls of the bed are through axially alined openings that are shifted with respect to the working surface. The extension should be provided with grooves that embrace the steps and openings for fastening members. An axle for receiving it in the openings of the walls as well as plates-shackles with threaded openings should be manufactured as well. The extension is then secured to the bed with fastening members through the plate-shackle embracing the axle. The fastening members may be preliminary heated. EFFECT: simplified method. 2 cl, 6 dwg
