FIELD: construction and machine building, e.g. thermoinsulation of walls, car cabins and car bodies, vessels, carriages, refrigerators, and furnaces. SUBSTANCE: foam forming composition for thermoinsulation comprises (wt%): 20-50 carbamide-formaldehyde resin; 1.0- 5.0 anion surfactant; 1.0-5.0 acid hardening catalyst; 0.5-10.0 foamed perlite sand or porous slag sand; and the water balance. The claimed composition further comprises glycerol or ethylene glycol or polyethylene glycol in amount of 0.2-5.0 wt% and 1 wt% antipyrene-phosphorus acid ammonium. The resulting material withstands compression load of 0.32 kg/sq cm without being damaged. Thermal resistance of the material is 160-200 C.
