FIELD: ceramics industry. SUBSTANCE: raw mix comprises (wt%); 83.0-87.0 clay; 4.0-5.0 sawdust; 2.5-3.5 carbon; 4.0-5.0 barite weighting compound; and 2.5-3.5 accompanying steel-wire production product. Combined addition to ceramic blend of two additives such as barite weighting compound and iron containing waste of the accompanying product resulting from steel-wire production, reduces effectively the amount of soluble salts in clay compound, prevents formation of salt deposits on roasted product, increases strength of ceramic material to 32-40 Mpa and makes it possible to obtain material, with optimum water absorption of 7 or 8% of beautiful external appearance. EFFECT: improved properties of the raw mix. 2 cl, 1 tbl
