FIELD: converters of thermal energy to electric one and vice versa. SUBSTANCE: baro-galvenic converter includes cell with solid ion-conductive electrolyte, high-and low-pressure spaces, gas permeable electrodes positioned in mentioned spaces and bordering on electrolyte, condenser and pump coupled in series. Outlet of pump is connected to high-pressure space of cell, inlet of condenser is coupled to low-pressure space. Evaporator-heater is positioned between outlet of pump and cell. Converter can be supplemented with heat exchanger-regenerator one space of which is located between condenser and low-pressure space and second space of which is situated between condenser and pump or between pump and evaporator-heater. In agreement with another version of converter evaporator is inserted between low-pressure space and inlet of pump and condenser is positioned between outlet of pump and high-pressure space of cell. Pump for this converter is manufactured in the form of cell with solid ion-conductive electrolyte having high-and low-pressure spaces with electrodes made from liquid working medium with electron conductance and filling spaces of cell.
