FIELD: mining; silica production. SUBSTANCE: decomposer for decomposing aluminate solutions permits intensifying the process by way of activating seed. Pulp fed into decomposer (aluminate solution plus seed) is displaced by agency of mechanical arrangement (stirrer) and is treated with air introduced from above inside the pipe dipped into pulp. Compressed air bubbles coming out from the pipe are additionally crushed with stirrer. Dispersed air oxidizes admixtures on seed surface thereby increasing its activity, which accelerates growth of desired aluminium hydroxide crystals. Activation of seed is further enhanced by providing the pipe with air disperser. To discharge pulp from decomposer, there is an overflow tube in the latter. EFFECT: intensified aluminate decomposition. 3 cl, 3 dwg
