FIELD: equipment for production of alumina. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents an installation for decomposition of aluminate solutions and is pertinent to equipment for production of alumina, that may be used in other industries, where hydrochemical processes are carried out in the batteries composed of in series connected apparatuses. The installation consists of several decomposers, located in a cascade. Mixing of the pulp in apparatuses is exercised by the mechanical stirring devices. Transportation of the pulp from one decomposer into another is carried out through the downpipes, which are located inside the volume of the apparatuses and are fused by there upper buts with the downflow launders. Inside the downpipes there are coaxially installed inner pipes, the upper buts of which are located above the upper buts of downpipes linked with the launders. The upper part of each of the inner pipes has at least two branch- pipes and a union used for the air supply. The branch-pipes are installed at different height and at that through one of them the pulp is returned back into the volume of the decomposer, and through another one into a downflow launder or into the next apparatus. The invention allows to reduce power consumption at the pulp transportation and to prevent accumulation of the pulp solid phase in the lower part of the decomposers.
