FIELD: biodegradation abatement. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to providing new means to abate harmful biological agents degrading tempera painting works; polychromatic wood sculpture; ornamental carvings; leather, fur, and feather objects; wool textile; graphic materials; and documents and may find use in museums, libraries, store houses, and shops. Invention consists in that exhibit fumigation apparatus containing exhibit treatment chamber, sealed door for loading and discharging exhibits, fan to aerate chamber contents, and fumigant is supplemented with gasodynamic path including successively connected convergent tube, second fan, heater, fumigant loading facility, and condenser. Gasodynamic path inlet is connected through hermetic seal with upper part of chamber space and gasodynamic path outlet through hermetic seal with its lower part. As fumigant, p-dichlorobenezene or thymol are used. EFFECT: achieved environmental safety and enhanced efficiency of exhibits' treatment. 2 cl, 2 dwg
