FIELD: chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves oxidative disaggregation of trivalent chromium compounds in mixture with alkali in presence of oxidizing gases. Process is carried out in dry phase with simultaneously displacing reagents within the reactor in absence of gaseous combustion products. Oxidizing gases introduced into reactor have predetermined percentage of oxygen controlling duration of oxidation process. Temperature in oxidation stage is maintained in the range 500-1500 C. installation scheme is presented. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 11 cl, 3 dwg
