FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to the technology of producing chromium compounds, particularly to the method of producing chromate of an alkali metal. The method improves oxidising burning of chromites through preliminary granulation of two-component mixtures with initiating additives. The method can be implemented in existing factories without considerable capital expenditure on designing and installing new equipment.
EFFECT: method allows for maximum pruning of slurry wastes, forming the basis of non-waste production of chromium compounds.
