FIELD: mechanisms for construction and repair of pipelines. SUBSTANCE: device is made in the form of wheel-mounted carriages interconnected by power cylinders, and jaw-type grips. Frame of first carriage is provided with longitudinal guide members, and second frame is arranged inside first frame. Jaw-type grips and axial movement of carriages are effected by one power cylinder, and reverse movement of carriages is effected by another power cylinder. Each of cylinders is connected with corresponding pair of jaw-type grips through coupled tie-rods of counter connecting configuration. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 dwg
