FIELD: testing. SUBSTANCE: two samples are cut from wheel rim to subject them to tensile load. One sample is placed for cutting with longitudinal axis perpendicular to axis of wheel, the other one - with longitudinal axis in parallel to axis of wheel. Tensile load is employed for action within time interval from 24 up to 96 h after manufacture of wheel. Hardness of rim is tested on template of wheel cut in radial direction - indenter acts on plane of cut and on parts of side surface conditioned to depth of 0.5-1.5 mm. Side surface of rim and surface of rolling are subjected to ultrasonic action to determine lack of continuity in them. Values obtained in each operation are compared with calculated ones and quality of wheel is evaluated by their changes. EFFECT: improved authenticity of method. 3 cl, 1 dwg , 1 tbl
