FIELD: technical physics, thermophysical measurements. SUBSTANCE: in compliance with proposed nondestructive test of thermophysical characteristics of materials line source of heat is used to act in plane of contact between semi-limited body and heat insulator, excess temperature is measured in point of plane of contact of examined body and heat insulator placed at specified distance from line of action of source. Minimal power under which excess temperature will appear in tested point is used for action on examined object. Occurrence of moment of constancy of relative rate of change of excess temperature in point of test at two time moments specified in advance, excess temperature and rate of its change in point of test are determined. Approximated values of sought-for thermophysical characteristics are found. Examined body is subjected to action of power which value exceeds initial value of power by preset magnitude, excess temperature and rate of its change in point of test are recorded at next time moments and sought-for thermophysical characteristics are found in second approximation. Then optimal power of thermal action is determined and after this sought-for characteristics are finally found. EFFECT: improved efficiency of test.
