FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves attacking body surface with moving point source and measuring critical temperature with aid of thermal detector moving at same speed as source. Thermal detector is focused onto object surface point on line perpendicular to that along which heat source is moving; mentioned line crosses center of heated spot at distance Ro from heat source so as to provide shielding against effect of source on measurement results. Detector and source movement speeds are measured and thermal characteristics are calculated including mentioned speed measurement results. EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
