FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves action by point mobile source on surface of material and measurement of excessive limit temperature by thermal detector moving with velocity of source. Method employs second thermal detector coupled to power supply source and placed at some distance from it at which direct effect of power supply source on results of measurement is avoided. Sought for thermophysical characteristics are found by relations taking into account specified and found distances between center of heated spot and point of temperature test. EFFECT: increased accuracy and reduced time of determination of thermophysical characteristics of materials. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
