FIELD: instruments for inertial measurements. SUBSTANCE: method involves emission of electromagnetic waves, their modulation, spreading in opposite directions, receiving and detection of linear movement by frequency difference between signals to be compared. In addition traveling waves of four different frequencies are spread in opposite directions, waves with right and left round polarization in one and opposite directions, multiple reflection of traveling waves for same linear circuit through optically active media when one active medium is effected with magnetic field. In addition linear movement is detected by sum of two signals each of which is calculated as frequency difference between waves with right and left polarization in opposite spreading directions. Two claims of invention describe device design which has linear resonator in which optically active media are located. One media is connected to magnetic field source through optical- magnetic connection. In addition device has unit for reading output signals. Said unit provides detection of frequency difference between waves with right and left round polarization. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 3 cl, 3 dwg
