FIELD: radars. SUBSTANCE: device has n receiving channels, detectors of amplitudes of echo signals in each channel, unit which calculates direction characteristics and their ratio, control unit and unit which calculates total error and search for minimal error. Novel feature of method is detection of values of beam patterns in each channel in plane of measurements and subsequent selection of total errors between ratio of amplitudes of echo signals and beam patterns for each pairs of channels for different values of angular coordinate from selected angle spectrum. Angular coordinate is set to be equal to value of angle for which total error is minimal. EFFECT: increased precision, decreased alignment of pattern beams of different antennas and characteristics of receiving channels. 5 cl, 5 dwg
