FIELD: production of radioactive nuclide of tellurium-125 M from liquid radioactive wastes containing antimony-125; manufacture of tellurium-125 M generators. SUBSTANCE: method involves passing antimony-125 containing aqueous nitric acid solution through inorganic sorbent (antimony oxides or hydroxides). Sorbent with adsorbed antimony-125 is subjected to heat treatment, primarily at 700-800 C for 1-2 h. Then tellurium-125 M radioactive nuclide is extracted by aqueous solution of KOH, NaOH concentration of 0.05-0.1 M or NH4OH concentration of 1-8 M.
