FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves treating rice seeds with film-forming substance with following applying of calcium peroxide. Film-forming substance used in the process is 4%- aqueous solution of siliceous hydrosol taken in an amount of 3.5-4.5 parts (0.28-0.36%) by weight of seeds. Calcium peroxide is applied onto seed surface in an amount of 5.0-15.0 parts (10-30%) by weight of seeds upon preliminary incomplete drying for 15-25 min.
