FIELD: respiratory technics. SUBSTANCE: invention concerns respiratory apparatuses exploited in media not suitable for respiration. Method consists in that respiratory mixture is supplied into respiratory organs under reduced pressure created by human lungs on breath followed by expiring respiratory mixture consisting of two parts. One part taking no part in pulmonary gas exchange is separated and kept to be fed into subsequent breath. When opening valve of respiratory apparatus, one adjusts volume of respiratory mixture to the value necessary for breath. EFFECT: improved design.
