FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves change of carbon dioxide and oxygen content in inhaled air due to expansion of additional 'dead' space volume. Hydraulic resistance at inhale and exhale is measured and gradually increased to the maximum hydraulic resistance of hypoxic hypercapnia apparatus. Breathing through the set apparatus for a specified time period, then hydraulic resistance at inhale and exhale is gradually changed to the original level. Time interval of hydraulic resistance change from original to maximum is not less than 3 minutes, and period of breath training at maximum hydraulic resistance is not more than twice longer than time period of hydraulic resistance change from maximum to original level.
EFFECT: method takes adaptation ability of organism into account at the beginning and end of breath training with hypoxic hypercapnia apparatus.
