FIELD: cleaning liquids of foreign admixtures; separation of suspensions. SUBSTANCE: filter-chamber includes housing, liquid mixture supply branch pipe and filtrate and sediment discharge branch pipes, filter elements with cleaning mechanisms mounted around filter elements and provided with reciprocating device. Filter elements are made in form of set of vertical porous cylindrical sleeves provided with calibrated passages and thickened rim in upper portion and bases turned downward and tightly secured in cylindrical cells of metal bearing plate tightly fitted in housing on circular stop and pressed at the top by cellular hold-down plate; plates are interconnected by means of strainers. Each filter element is provided with sediment cleaning mechanism made in form of outer circular cleaning scraper. Counter blow branch pipe is introduced in chamber. Liquid mixture supply branch pipe and sediment discharge branch are located in lower portion of chamber; filtrate discharge branch pipe and counter blow branch pipe are located in its upper portion. It is good practice to make filter element in form of taper sleeves widening upward at taper angle lesser than or equal to 1 deg; scraper shall be made from flexible material.
