FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to producing the sulfonated cation-exchange resins based on cross-linking copolymers of styrene. Method involves swelling copolymer of styrene with divinylbenzene and methylmethacrylate at the parent ratio of components = (88.2-89.1): (6.9-8.2): (3.6-4.0), respectively, in dichloroethane at mass ratio of copolymer : dichloroethane = 1:(0.1-0.2) and the following sulfonation of the swollen copolymer in mixing reactor of continuous operation with 94-98% sulfuric acid at 95-105 C. EFFECT: improved method of producing.
