FIELD: erection of pipe lines. SUBSTANCE: seal is provided between outer wall of pipe to be sealed and inner wall of sleeve. This seal consists of sealing member divided longitudinally at least once by pipe sleeve. Sealing member is made from elastomer or softly adjustable thermoplastic with plasticizer or similar material. Sealing member is provided with fins on its back side received by respective grooves on inner wall of sleeve. It is fixed by means of projection on longitudinal end side received by longitudinal slot on one or on both half-envelopes of pipe sleeve. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 3 cl, 4 dwg
