FIELD: pressure material lines, measurement of flow rate of transported substance. SUBSTANCE: average static pressures across narrowing device placed in material line perpendicular to its axis are measured in two mutually perpendicular planes. One measuring section coincides with plane of biggest shut-off of material line and the other - with plane tangent to narrowing device on side opposite to direction of flow. Difference of measured pressures is measured and used to determine flow rate. Flowmeter includes cylindrical narrowing device 1 installed in material line 2, spaces 3, slits 4, plug 6, pipe union 6, pulse tubes 7, attachment parts 8.
