FIELD: instruments. SUBSTANCE: method involves emission and reception of ultrasound pulses which run through medium along and in opposite to flow so that two synchronization rings are generated; sampling of period of synchronization ring n with periods of special oscillator; exclusion of coincidence of pulses of synchronization rings and calculation of flow speed. In advance time when pulses pass through non-measuring parts of synchronization rings and delay time of pulse in opposite to flow are measured and sampled by m periods of oscillator. Product volume is calculated using equation. Corresponding device has two piezoelectric converters 2, 3, commutator 4, oscillator 5, phase splitter 6, two switches 7, 8, generator-amplifier 9, five AND gates 10, 11, 18, 30, 26, six flip- flops 14, 15, 19, 20, 27, 28, OR gate 12, three univibrators 13, 16, 29, time selector 17, integrator 21, sampling oscillator 22, divider counter 23, decoder-multiplexer 24, program setter 25.
