FIELD: automatic (by microcontroller), separate (by operator), and circular (by limit displacement transducers) step-by-step control of driven mechanisms with limited range of moving part displacement. SUBSTANCE: device has pulse distributor, multichannel amplifier, limit displacement transducers, first and second majority elements, first and second electronic switches, mode-of-operation control unit, pulse distributor interlocking unit, digital pulse shaping unit, delay element, single-shot multivibrator; device ensures shaping commands in all modes during step-by-step running of motor without de-energizing its phase windings upon termination of control pulse. This is attained due to shaping phase control pulses for stepping motor whose leading and trailing edges are timed with those of clock pulse arriving directly from clock bus and upon inversion through delay element at second write input and setting input of digital pulse shaping unit; by moment of shaping phase pulses, count enable input of pulse distributor is cut off through its interlocking unit in response to commands arriving from information outputs of digital pulse shaping unit.
