FIELD: chemical photographic industry. SUBSTANCE: silver halide photographic material consists of substrate, on one of the sides of which adhesion gelatin layer, gelatin primer layer, photosensitive silver bromide/iodide emulsion layer, and gelatin protective layer are successively applied, and on the other side, antihalation antistatic counterlayer and antistatic varnish layer are applied. Gelatin primer layer contains 3,3'-di- γ-sulfopropyl-9-ethyl-4,5-benzo-4',5'(thieno- 3",2")thiacarbocyanine-betaine triethylammonium salt or salt of 3,3'- diethylthiazolinocarbocyanine and 3,3'-di-g-sulfopropyl-9-ethyl- 4,5,4',5'-dibenzothiacarbocyanine-betaine in quantity (1.4-2.5) 10-4 mol/sq.m. Photosensitive layer is spectrally sensitized with carbocyanine-betaine series dye. EFFECT: improved resolution capability with the same photosensitivity owing to presence of primer layer. 1 tbl
