FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: colter-opener has opener tip 1, seed guide 3 secured behind its rear wall 2 and lever 4 connected bu hinge joint 5 with opener tip. Shield 7 and roll 9 are mounted on lever 4. Shield 7, with its front edge 12, rests on rear wall 2 of opener tip 1. Roll 9 projects beyond level 13 of foot 14. With colter lowered to soil shield 7 precludes clogging of seed guide 3. With drill moved off, lever 4 turns in hinge joint 5, roll deflects backwards and upwards, and shield 7 gets out from under seed guide 3. Roll 9 compacts bed of furrow on which seeds are laid. L-shaped lever 4 with weight 11 secured on its other arm 10 improves reliability of thrusting of edge 12 of shield 7 against wall 2 of opener tip 1 when colter is placed on soil. With drill moving, weight 11 provides optimum compacting of furrow bed by roll 9. Compacting of furrow with seeds increases germination and growth of plants.
