FIELD: cutting threads on bitapered items. SUBSTANCE: cutter is intended for cutting threads on bitapered items with one setting. It has body 1, thread cutter consisting of left and right cutting parts 2 and 3, respectively. The cutting parts are positioned relative to each other at angles corresponding to the angles of inclination of bitapered thread being cut. The thread of the right part of a bitapered item is cut by the left cutting part 2 of the tool. After the point of inflection is passed, last tooth 4 of the left cutting part becomes the first tooth of right cutting part 3, which shapes the thread on the left part of the bitapered item.
