METHOD FOR CUTTING TEETH ON LATERAL SURFACE OF PART Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: heavy and mean machine engineering, drilling technique, cutting teeth by means of milling cutter on lateral surface of cutting tools related to high-module systems with large circumferential end pitch such as milling cutters. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of simultaneously cutting all teeth on part by finish hobbing during one pass by means of hobbing cutter having normal pitch equal to normal pitch along outer diameter of part; before cutting teeth, placing hobbing cutter by crossing angle relative to part; at process of cutting teeth rotating hobbing cutter in accordance with part and simultaneously and continuously moving it along axis of part or parts; in order to enhance vibration proofness of systems "machine tool-tool-part" , using hobbing cutter with positive angle of cutting edge in range 8 - 12 degrees, setting feed of cutter in range 12 - 28 mm/rev and revolution number - in range, 35 - 45 rev/min.
