FIELD: mechanical engineering; welding high-speed two-arc welding of long-length thin-walled pipe joints. SUBSTANCE: both welding torches are placed in quadraupole magnetic field and edges are welded through required depth by first arc with automatic control of arc penetrating capability taking into account value of inner tolerable flash given in description of invention in form of mathematical dependences. Second arc is used to remelt outer layer of weld. EFFECT: increased capacity and quality of welding by increasing stability of arc penetrating capacity and preventing formation of inner flash.
