FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for repair of a welded steel pipe molded billet produced by laser or laser-arc welding with a thickness of 8 to 45 mm and a diameter of up to 1,420 mm. Sample of the defective area is performed by laser cutting, and its filling is performed by hybrid laser-arc welding using at least one welding arc torch with a consumable electrode at the reverse polarity. To select a defective portion, a focused laser beam is formed and positioned perpendicular to the surface to be treated. Behind the beam, a high-pressure air jet is formed, directed toward the movement of the beam along the surface of the weld, and a defocused laser beam is directed to the welding edges, aimed at the edges of the sample in front of the electrode of the welding arc torch. Laser beam and the arc of the welding torch are arranged to form a common weld pool, and welding is carried out with an increased reach of the electrode of the welding torch in one pass.
EFFECT: method ensures minimization of heat input to the repair area of the welded seam obtained by laser welding, and reduces the volume of excavation of the defective area while maintaining the weld geometry in the repair area and without reducing the mechanical properties of the weld metal.
