FIELD: mechanical engineering; indirect resistance spot welding with step-by step movement of electrodes. SUBSTANCE: device for step-by-step feeding has welding transformers 4, step-by step feeding mechanism of resistance welding electrodes, workpiece clamping mechanism, mounted and location mechanism for workpieces. Secondary circuits of welding transformers are interconnected by metal (copper) members. Electrode step-by step feeding mechanism is made in form of movable truck 9 and power drive secured in truck body whose rod is engaged with bracket moved along guides 13. Two horizontal power drives 14 are secured on bracket. Rods 15 of power drives 14 have locks 16 with conical guide end. Movable truck 9 has floating vertical double. acting power drive 19 self-aligning relative to movable truck by means of support springs. Bracket with ball supports 23 is hinge-mounted on end of drive upper rod. Hydraulic booster is installed on end of lower rod. Workpiece mounting and location mechanism has vertical power drive whose rod is engaged with movable frame furnished with rollers. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved reliability of operation and quality of welding. 4 dwg
