MAN-POWER OPERATED VEHICLE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2086453 C1

FIELD: transport engineering; bicycles and velomobiles with chain drive between front wheel disks. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention makes it possible to increase riding speed, facilitated running, decrease influence of side moment on handlebar, reduce aerodynamic resistance without increasing overall dimensions of vehicle. Fitting of bottom bracket in center of front driving wheel bushing makes it possible to use wheel with larger diameter of rim, thus increasing riding speed and facilitating running of vehicle. Use of disk wheels instead of spiked one considerably reduces aerodynamic resistance of vehicle and increases its service life as drive is reliably protected from moisture and dust by disks. EFFECT: increased service life and reliability of vehicle. 6 dwg
