FIELD: building ceramics. SUBSTANCE: raw meal includes 15-80 wt % of silica from crystalline silicon production and 20-85 wt % of high-calcium ash from brown coal combustion. Components are mixed in dry state, and then wetted to 16% moisture content. Half-finished pieces thus prepared are pressed, dried, and baked at 1000 C. Physico-mechanical indexes are the following: average density, 1120-1460 kg/cu.m; compression strength, 11.4-21.3 MPa; water uptake, 23.4-34%.
