FIELD: electric and magnetic measurements which use resonant methods, in particular, for measuring conductance, radiation level using non-contact methods. SUBSTANCE: method involves running stationary self-oscillation mode due to regulation of gain of amplifier, detection of power losses using gain value. Corresponding device has oscillating circuit 1, which output is connected to input of buffer amplifier 2, which output is connected to input of controlled-gain amplifier 3 so that positive feedback circuit is provided. Output of buffer amplifier 2 is connected to amplitude detector 4, which output is connected to first input of comparator 5, which second input is connected to reference power supply source 6. Output of comparator 5 is connected to control input of reverse counter 7, which counting input is connected to rectangular pulse oscillator 8.
