SUBSTANCE: time intervals txn and txk are measured using main measuring scale and two vernier scales: time interval txh is measured using constant vernier scale with pulse rate period Th and vernier scale with pulse rate period Tbh; interval txk is measured using constant vernier scale and vernier scale with pulse rate period Tbk. Time interval txn is calculated using equation ; time interval txk is calculated using equation . First and second equations do not use vernier scale periods Tbh and Tbk which have greater time and temperature instability. Pulse periods To and Th are generated by means of high-stability generator frequency Fo. Measurement precision of time intervals Tk depends on ΔT = Th-To or ΔT = To-Th, which can be arbitrary low.
