FIELD: metallurgy, namely pig working. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing pig in container and acting upon it by punch. Punching cycle is successively repeated for additional pigs at charging them to separate containers. Waste is removed by means of die rod. Such method is realized with use of apparatus including container for placing pig, punch rod, die assembly having die stem and guiding ring for said stem. Apparatus includes movable support in the form of circular part embracing punch rod calibrating drawing die and stationary support for punch rod. Apparatus is provided with rotary turret device and additional containers. All containers are arranged on said turret device. Said die stem is arranged at side of container opposite relative to punch rod. Apparatus is also provided with stripper ring for passing die rod through it, unit for charging pigs to container and movable support for punch rod.
