FIELD: plastic metal working, chemical machine engineering, mainly manufacture of non-regular packing members in the form of different-type packing rings for heat mass exchange apparatuses. SUBSTANCE: die set for making packing members of heat mass exchange apparatuses includes successively arranged: punching unit with punches and die having cutting edges, bending unit with bending die, stripper, shaped cutter, metallic band stripper having mechanism for centering and holding band, parallelogram-type mechanism and two movable bending mandrels. Punching unit is in the form of punch holder provided with guiding columns engaging with sleeves secured to metallic band stripper. Bending die is in the form of upper and lower bending die halves. Upper die half is mounted in movable part of die set. Said movable bending mandrels are arranged in both ends of lower die half. Said shaped cutter has cutting edge contour coinciding with contour of upper bending die half and engaging with cutting edge of die of said punching unit. One bending mandrel is mounted immediately adjacent to cutting edge of die of punching unit and in its initial position it is flush relative to upper edge of said die. Second bending mandrel is arranged partially in cavity of lower bending die half and mounted with possibility of motion relative to it by means of parallelogram type mechanism.
