FIELD: powder metallurgy, particular, production of fiber and acicular or flake powder by solidification of melt on rotating mold; applicable in production of metal and alloys in microcrystalline and amorphous state with metastable structure and supersaturated with concentration of alloying elements to reduce macro- and microsegregations and grain sizes due to high cooling rates. SUBSTANCE: the essence of invention consists in that in production of fibers and acicular or flake powder by the method of extraction of hanging drop of melt, the blank is made in form of hollow rod with inner- to-outer diameters ratio of d/D=0.1-0.9.
