SUBSTANCE: the lathe has a bed, longitudinal carriage with a hollow mandrel, hollow cutter head for roughing, reach-over, axial and cutting carriages with a shaping and cutting tools; in addition, it is furnished with a camshaft with disk barrel cams for feeding the working carriages, motion screw for feeding the main carriage carrying the mandrel, distributing block using two parallel gearings coupled to the camshaft by means of electromagnetic clutches. The camshaft is kinematically linked with the motion screw and single-turn master controller in the form of a frontal variable-speed drive, and the tool carriage feed cams have an adjustable profile.
