FIELD: portable machine tools used, mainly for opening, for example metal-concrete containers for transporting and (or) storing waste nuclear fuel.

SUBSTANCE: machine tool includes housing mounted on foundation and having supports made with possibility of placing worked part between them. Said supports have centering guiding members made with possibility of engaging with respective reciprocal members of foundation. Machine tool also includes spindle with traverse bar mounted in housing; drive unit for rotating spindle mounted in housing; mounted on traverse bar rests carrying cutter holders. Each rest is provided with device for horizontal motion of rest relative to traverse bar. Spindle with traverse bar is mounted with possibility of limited vertical motion by means of motion mechanism. The last is mounted in housing and it is joined through kinematics links with rotation drive unit of spindle. Spindle has through opening whose axis is geometrically coincided with spindle rotation axis. In said opening rod is mounted with possibility of vertical motion and fixation of its position relative to housing. Lower end of said rod is provided with supporting member made with possibility of detachable joining with worked part. In variant of invention machine tool includes detachable cuttings chutes, each chute is detachably mounted on traverse bar in zone of respective rest with cutter holder with possibility of engaging to end surface of worked part in its working position. Machine tool is also provided with apparatus for suction of harmful matters having air conduit communicated with air traps mounted in traverse bar. Said rod has duct being end portion of air conduit whose other portions are formed by ducts in body of traverse bar communicated respectively with air traps and with duct of said rod through cutouts of rod. Rod is mounted in housing and it has protruding outside end that may provide communication of rod duct with exhaust ventilation system. Said rod is arranged in opening of spindle with use of fluid-tight sealing. Each detachable cuttings chute has box like cross section and flared inlet; inner pace of each cuttings chute is communicated through latticed filter with respective air trap.

EFFECT: enhanced functional possibilities of machine tool, improved safety of handling waste nuclear fuel.
