FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: claimed catalyst comprising trialkyl aluminium, electric donor and solid component. The catalyst is titanium tetrachloride in active form and aromatic acid ester applied onto magnesium chloride. The electric donor is 1.3- dimethoxypropane derivative selected from the group consisting of 2-(2-chloro-n-propyl)-2-n-propyl-1,3- dimethoxypropane, 2-n-propyl-1,3-dimethoxypropane and 2- (1-methyl-neopentylidene) - 1,3-dimethoxypropane and the solid component is component including diisobutyl phthalate as aromatic acid ester, the ratio of components being as follows (mole parts): 5 trialkyl aluminium; 1 1,3-dimethoxypropane; 1.8 solid component calculated as titanium. Catalysts prepared from said components of catalyst and alkyl aluminium and catalysts prepared by reaction of alkylaluminium with ether having characteristics as defined above which solid catalyst component consisting of titanium halide or alkoxyhalide and electric donor compound having specific properties of being extracted with triethyl aluminium applied onto activated magnesium halide. EFFECT: improved properties.
