FIELD: production of titanium having high degree of purity. SUBSTANCE: method involves electrolytic refining of titanium and electron beam melting of cathode metal. Said electrolytic refining takes place in the melt of salts which comprise chlorides of alkali metals and titanium, concentration of titanium being not less 0.5 mass %. Anode current density is 0.03-0.05 A/cm2, initial cathode density being 0.2-0.4 A/cm2. Mentioned above electron beam melting is carried out at power of electron beam 0.5-0.8 KWt/cm2 at rate 6-8 mm/min, pressure of residual gases in operating capacity is not more 5•10-6 mm Hg. EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method. 1 tbl
