FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to technology of measuring pile-driving failures in erection of buildings and structures on pile foundations and can be used for operative control of pile sinking process during pile driving. Pile-driving unit failure detector has pile movement sensor made in the form of carriage with measuring and guide rollers which is pivotally connected with body of pile-driving hammer. Axle of measuring roller is connected with input of converter of turning angle into voltage and its output is connected with output of high-frequency amplifier, and output is connected with transmitting antenna. Secondary device is provided in series connected frequency converter, intermediate frequency amplifier, detector and low-frequency amplifier. Receiving antenna is connected through high-frequency filter and amplifier to input of frequency converter, and output of low-frequency amplifier is connected to input of recorder made with magnetic medium, corresponding inputs of secondary device are intended for delivery of supply voltage.
