GEAR TO TAKE SAMPLES OUT OF PIPE-LINE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology, taking samples of liquid out of pipe-line working under pressure. SUBSTANCE: tube T to take samples is installed in cross-section of pipe-line. One end of it has drain hole and the other end of it is put into gland unit with shut-off member. Tube has translation drive in the form of power cylinder and is mounted inside its case. Piston of power cylinder is made fast to tube. Piston, space above piston and pipe union of pipe-line are interconnected by means of system of pulse tubes and shut-off cocks forming system controlling translation of tube. One of pulse tube is joined to pipe union with the aid of detachable joint. Gear is fitted with measuring scale mounted on case of power cylinder and indicator with pointer made fast to tube. Limiting collar are positioned ahead of piston and after it. EFFECT: improved operational convenience and reliability. 3 cl, 1 dwg
