FIELD: technology of production of salts, particularly, methods for production of copper sulfate. SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves decomposition of dead catalyst which takes place at uninterrupted mixing. The process is followed by filtration, thus obtained filtrate is evaporated till content of copper sulfate is 18.4-19.0 %. Then crystallization, separation of crystals and their drying are carried out. Mentioned above decomposition of dead catalyst which comprises copper and zinc compounds takes place with the help of sulfuric acid, weight ratio of solid and liquid phases being 1:(6-7) respectively.
