FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, wheel production. SUBSTANCE: method includes steps of descaling wheel and cold-hardening metal of wheel disc in order to provide necessary compression stresses in product, its surface roughness and dimensions. At hot forming and rolling wheel thickness of its disc consists 1.01-1.08 of final disc thickness. At cold plastic shot peening of wheel thickness of disc is made up to necessary dimension. Cold shot peening of disc is realized when wheel is arranged horizontally at first to inner side of wheel from downwards and then after tilting wheel by 180 degrees - to outer side of wheel.
